FLORIDA THEMED CARDS | CREATING PERSONALIZED CHRISTMAS CARDS |USING LINE ART| CHRISTMAS CARD SERIES

I created 6 personalized Christmas cards for my Aunt and Uncle who live in Florida. The information I had was Florida themed and they like corvettes. Well, more than like Corvettes... but you get the picture.

The Corvette image is a free line art image from a site specializing in children's free coloring images. Take a look at what you can add to your creations.

I layered two tags on the lower corner of the card with so many details. A Florida, Vellum overlay, heat embossed sentiment, ribbon, thread... even some stitching detail.

The Santa image is from a Sunny Studio Stamp set recently included in a Scrapping for Less card kit. The bird stamp is from Victorine Originals now known as SumMore Fun Stamps. Ink blending, die cutting and some creativity created these adorable cards.

SFL Guest Spot Featuring Prima Paper and Gina Marie Design Dies - Christmas Series 2019

Hi Everyone This is Renee' with Delaney Jane Cards and I'm so excited to be on the Scrapping for Less blog today.
I created this beautifully inlaid card using a Gina Marie Designs Die called Christmas Candle A2 and some Prima Patterned Paper and some Kaisercraft tags. I wanted to create something unexpected with these items.

I picked through the patterned papers and selectively die cut small images for each of the spaces in the die.

The only place I used the same patterned paper was the flames and glow from the candles. I used this beautiful star design patterned paper which I added Darice Glitter Glue to for additional sparkle and shine.

I took the time to find red printed paper for the berries on the holly and this blue green colored paper used for the leaves was from one of the Kaisercraft tags I used.

I used Tonic Honey Gold Satin Cardstock to create the outline for this inlay. I also layered the internal pieces with brown cardstock to add dimension.

I added a simple sentiment from a Penny Black stamp set called Love & Peace. Simply white heat embossed on the same brown cardstock used as the under layer for each inlaid piece.

I absolutely love the details in this card. It wasn't a typical card for me but it was worth the time I put into it because it is beautiful. I think the gold border and the country style of the paper together really make a beautiful card. I'd highly recommend trying this combo.

I do have a process video up on my YouTube Channel  here: Delaney Jane Cards

Paper Smooches Sunnyville

Today I bring you some Sunshine! This card was created with a stamp set I spent a long time pining over. I wanted to add these adorable images to my stamp collection but either the set was sold out or I would overlook it during my order. I FINALLY GOT IT!

This little sun hugging the cloud is by far one of the cuter images I own. I perched the little bird on the cloud and it ended up being one of the most adorable images I've ever seen. These Paper Smooches images are really similar to the other sets they offer. I wish I had endless money because Paper Smooches, I'd be coming for you!~

This card also features one of my all time favorite patterned paper pattern types, clouds! I love cloud patterned papers. I wish someone would come up with an entire 6x6 pad with just cloud patterns. I'd buy two!

I even pulled out the "used to be everywhere and on everyone's cards" Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins. I used a variety of sizes to create a scattering across the card panel.

The star patterned paper was solid enough to host a sentiment, especially a heat embossed sentiment. This bold type worked well against this mustard colored background. And what an amazing sentiment, am I right?

The Copic markers I chose to color this sun were the Y20 markers and they left the sun in the right shade to match the patterned papers but it really lacked the glow a sun would have, so I glazed the sun with a brighter yellow marker to give it an immediate internal glow.

Mixing Stamp Companies featuring MayMay Made Its Gather

I mixed stamp companies today, something I really love doing. This adorable cabin stamp is from Altenew and the gorgeous church, MayMay Made It. The scale of the images aren't the same but the illustration style is similar enough that staging the images with one in the foreground and one in the background the scale seems perfect.

I used water based markers to do "faux" watercoloring here. I really enjoyed the process of making this card and I am excited to share it with you.

The sentiments in this Gather set from MayMay can be built many different ways. This was just perfect enough for this card.

World Diabetes Day - Honoring Nyla

I wanted to bring attention to Type 1 Diabetes specifically but today is World Diabetes Day.
Nyla is a 6 year old Hero. She was diagnosed this year and it is a diagnosis for the entire family. Her mother has had to change the way they live and the way they sleep, the way they think about activities and food. Shadow, Nyla's mom, doesn't sleep well because she is constantly watching number and waiting for the dexcom alarm to go off. I didn't know Type 1 Diabetes could be diagnosed after childhood, I didn't know how time consuming a T1D diagnosis would be for a family, I am learning so much from my friend and her hero of a daughter.

Today I used The Rabbit Hole Designs Fearless stamp set and the Colorado Crafts Company Military Strong. You don't have to stick to a theme for your stamps, TRHD set is geared toward breast cancer and the CCC set toward military but I was able to turn them into a T1D awareness ribbon and card. I also pulled out a little Lawn Fawn set for the little heart image. Combine those sets and create something new.

I wanted to leave the link for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation because when I asked Shadow for permission to talk about her daughter Nyla I also asked if she had a specific organization she wanted me to talk about. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation JDRF was her immediate response.  Here is a link to their site: JDRF

Honeybee stocking gift card holder -2019 Christmas Card Series

I made 6 gift card holders using Honeybee's new stocking gift card holder die. It was a learning experience and I wanted to share all the things I learned while making these.

I pulled patterned papers from the scrap bin and some very old Christmas paper pads and some super cool flocking sheets from Thermoweb to create some adorable stocking gift card holders.

I embellished each stocking with twine and a jingle bell.

All items were purchased with my own funds. This video / blog is not sponsored.

Scrapping For Less Guest Spot featuring YNS and Echo Park - Christmas Series 2019

Hi Everyone, this is Renee' with Delaney Jane Cards and I'm so excited to be on the Scrapping for Less blog today. I am one of two guest designers this month and I cannot wait to share some fun things with everyone.
I created an adorable snowman Christmas card using Coffee Melt by YNS and Echo Park's My Favorite Christmas 6x6 pad. You can find both in the Scrapping for Less store.

I had some trouble with my colorless blender while coloring this image and wasn't sure I could salvage it so I had to find a solution. I colored the sky and used that same troublesome 0 Copic to add swirls to the color to camouflage my error.

Sometimes a simple creative solution can keep your project from getting tossed in the trash.

I really loved the color pallet this paper pad offered. It gave me a set of colors to use on this adorable melting snowman. I even got to use my favorite Copic YG17.

Your Next Stamp has some of the cutest sets and most include fun sentiments like this one. Life is too short for bad coffee.  It makes me giggle as this snowman melts for his love of the wonderful caffeinated goodness.  I figured the mug was supposed to be a snowman but I wanted to spread the green color around a bit more and made it green... another opportunity to use YG17. I have no clue why I like that color as much as I do, but I try to incorporate it in all my green combos.

Festive Trees - Christmas Series 2019

I used the stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Festive Trees. I may have stated it was a Stamptember 2018 release but I don't think it was.

I used the very graphic trees made with triangles on these cards as well as the festive Season's Greetings sentiment.

Pulling out a tried and true technique of emboss resist with watercolor, these cards turned out to be bright and cheery with a touch of gold sparkle to them. I used my Ganzi Tambi water color set and some real quick painting to create this set of 6.
