Celebrating 500 Subscribers to my YouTube Channel.

I firmly believe far more people view my videos than my blog but I really wanted to post here to share the big news. My channel, Delaney Jane Cards, has hit one of my personal milestones. 500 Subscribers!

I, and several of my crafting besties are celebrating with a YouTube hop and giveaway.

This is the project I created.

I decided to no line watercolor this beautiful image from MayMay Made It entitled New Creation.

I know I"m a beginner but I don't think I did that terrible of a job. What do you think?

And I finished the inside! I'm really working toward finishing the inside of every single card I make.

Here is the video to celebrate. Come on and hop along. There is at least one prize along the way, I've heard of at least one or two more. It can't hurt to hop. ;)

MayMay Made It | Rest | Beginner Watercoloring | Practicing with Pan Watercolors

I'm so new to watercoloring. I mean, I've not practiced much and this is the year I'm going to learn. I thought this sweet set from MayMay Made it would be perfect for a little practice. I am a subscriber to her religious stamp set every month and really love what the sets bring to my stamp inventory.

MAYMAY MADE IT ADORE HIM | MARY AND JESUS | CHRISTMAS CARD SERIES 2019| Artistic images

Welcome back to another card in my 2019 Christmas Card series. I'm so excited to be sharing all these projects with everyone.

Today I used a set by MayMay Made it called Adore Him. This set is filled with really artistic images featuring the Christ child and the Manger Scene as well as Mother Mary.
I used a card sketch to get started and heat embossed with the now famous Cooper's mix: mostly gold. ;)

Check back a few videos for the snowflake cards, you will see why that has become famous. ;)

Mixing Stamp Companies featuring MayMay Made Its Gather

I mixed stamp companies today, something I really love doing. This adorable cabin stamp is from Altenew and the gorgeous church, MayMay Made It. The scale of the images aren't the same but the illustration style is similar enough that staging the images with one in the foreground and one in the background the scale seems perfect.

I used water based markers to do "faux" watercoloring here. I really enjoyed the process of making this card and I am excited to share it with you.

The sentiments in this Gather set from MayMay can be built many different ways. This was just perfect enough for this card.

Happy Adoption Day! Mixing Stamp Companies

Today is a very special blog. This blog showcases a card that was made for a very special moment in one particular young lady's life. She is being adopted. Adopted into a very wonderful, supportive, loving family.

This young lady is a very driven, strong, fashionable, beautiful, smart young lady.

I used several stamp companies to help me create a "vision" board style card. I wanted to touch base on all the things I knew she loved.

You will see the "mash up" of companies, how to color using different undertones and how to create your own pattern within your coloring.

** I'm not claiming to be an expert. These are techniques that work for me, a self taught crafter / cardmaker.

MayMay Made It's Ask Seek Knock in a Simple Scene

I used the MayMay Made It Scripture Club Stamp set from September 2019 called Ask, Seek, Knock to create two cards. The intention was not two cards but someone, I'm not naming names, didn't hit record... Renee'...

So we ended up doing a double take and created a second card. This stamp set was requested by a viewer and friend. I was happy to create with it.

I used a very old paper pad from My Mind's Eye and when I originally saw this set I immediately thought of this one piece of paper from that pad. I'm not sure how I remember what is in what paper pad but somehow, I do. Anyway, I used several layers of patterned papers and multiple dies to create this adorable scene card... or two of them...

I added shading to create dimension to this door. It is one of those panel doors so there are tons of places where I could practice this technique. I used B00 and BG78 with BG45 and BG53 as my mid-tones. There is a lot of distance between these colors and it helps to create this really dimensional look.

Additional details like the leaning Welcome sign and tiny topiaries really help to make this a scene without any extras like more wall or windows, etc.

The images are grounded with a strip of patterned paper and a gold scalloped detailed die cut border. It creates a cozy space for the images to hang out.

I finished the cards with an identical sentiment but one is heat embossed in gold with a tiny gold bow and the other stamped in brown ink and embellished with a strip of patterned paper with banner ends. Some gold confetti spread the sparkle around the card.

Creating with MayMay Made It's Salt & Light Set

I know Thursdays have been set aside for our Halloween card making but I wanted to squeeze this one in before the new set was released.

I created two very quick cards with the previous MayMay Made It religious stamp set of the month. This set has so much more to offer than what I show, but I needed to make some simple cards and reached for this beautiful set.
