Hi Everyone! I was invited to share a few projects with the new Spellbinders Sealed Release. They are super quick and fun and I really hope you like them as much as I do!
While I don't have the new fun wax seal part of this release I did get to play with this hot foil plate here, called Geometric Diamond Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and the coordinating layer stencils called Layered Geometric Diamond Stencils.
This beautiful hot foil plate is simply stunning on it's own. Here I've used Silver Matte finish Glimmer Hot foil by Spellbinders on black cardstock.
I've ink blended several shades of Red and Grey Distress Oxide inks through these layering stencils to create this beautiful pattern.
After using the Sealed Glimmer Sentiments Hot Foil Plate to add a sentiment with Gold Matte Glimmer Hot foil I finished this card by simply matting it on another piece of black cardstock. I loved how simple this card turned out and how intricate it looks. I'd love to know your opinion!
For my second project I decided I really loved this simple feel of the first card I made and wanted to keep the panel flat, much like the first. I did, however, want to "fancy" it up a bit and used multiple hot foil plates together to create this beautiful card.
I chose to use the Spellbinders Sealed Berry Wreath Hot Foil plate and coordinating sentiment for this card. The Berry Wreath comes in two pieces. They fit together nicely to form a completed wreath but I chose to use the larger piece to create this partial wreath so I could hot foil the Best wishes inside the area where, if I had the wax seal part of this release I would have added a seal right here!
This was hot foiled with the Glimmer Silver Matte Hot Foil and I ink blended the background to mimic the circular shape.
To create the lower portion of the card I partially hot foiled the Geometric Diamond Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and finished the edge with an older foil plate, still available at Spellbinders, called Foiled Brushstrokes and Stripes Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. There are several clean stripes in this set as well as some that are brushstrokes. I chose one of the middle width stripes to hot foil a clean border between the upper design and the lower design on this card panel.
Using the stencils which coordinate with the Geometric Diamond Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate, Layered Geometric Diamond Stencils I stenciled in two shades of Distress Oxide Ink and added some shimmer pen to a few of the spaces.
I think the tone on tone design of this card helps make a black card elegant. I'd love to know which card you prefer, for sure!
Thank you For Stopping by and as I always say, -Give Cards Generously! -Renee'
