Day 26 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Day 26 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Still participating in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge put on by The Daily Marker. Anyone can participate just use hashtag #thedailymarker30day

Today's card was another non-traditional coloring medium, ink on a dauber! I masked the cake image off one layer at a time and daubed on the ink. Blended the background a little bit with the same colors and that was it! I followed a sketch from Splitcoast Stampers SC581.

Day 24 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Day 24 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge by The Daily Marker. Anyone can play along, even at this late date... just use hashtag #thedailymarker30day

Today was all about quick and simple. I stamped the images from A Muse Studio's Bundle of Joy set on this Sugar Cardstock. I chose to stamp the images on a scrap piece of cardstock and color them and trim them out, adhering them to the stamped images on the card front. I could have colored them directly on the card base and this would have been an even more simple card, but my coloring medium of choice tonight was Copic Markers and they tend to bleed through cardstock and I wanted a clean interior for this base.

Please leave me a comment below and tell me how you like my card for today.

Day 20 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Day 20 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge put on by the Daily Marker. Anyone can still join in. Use hashtag #thedailymarker30day

Today I used the C'est La Vie stamp set from A Muse Studio, a circle die and some Tim Holtz distress inks.

I thought this skyline would look really neat with a highlighted circle popped up. And then I thought, it would look really neat with some blended distress inks in the background. AND I WAS RIGHT!

I stamped the image twice, once on the card base and once on a piece of sugar card stock. Then I blended the distress inks over the image on the extra piece of card stock. Die cut the image. Added foam tape, popped up the image over the base image, being sure to match up the lines... and that was it. I love how this turned out.

Day 19 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Day 19 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge by The Daily Marker includes this adorable card!

Anyone can play along with the Coloring Challenge just use hashtag #thedailymarker30day

Today I wanted to show that a card doesn't have to have tons of layers or images or take a ton of time. This simple image was colored using a few Copic markers and then cut out, fussy cut. I used some foam adhesive to pop it up on a plain sugar card base. Stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and it was a great card.

How cute is this little fudge pop? I mean, adorable, right?  I just didn't have the heart to make him share the spotlight with any other image.

Day 17 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge... and a sneak peek

Day 17 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge is a sneak peek at a new set by A Muse Studio that will be available starting March 1st. The set is called Crazy Friends and it has some of the funniest sentiments. There are also matching dies.

As always, you can play along with the 30 day challenge by using hashtag #thedailymarker30day

So back to the card. I was having trouble with inspiration when it came to making a card. I have been being mommy to a very crabby 8 month old little boy for days now and I am mentally exhausted. So, I turned to the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and to Always Playing with Paper's color challenge.

I could have stamped the flowers directly onto this panel but it was an after thought. So I used the coordinating die to cut it out perfectly. I colored the image using Copic Markers.

The cups were stamped onto the matching die cut using a stamp positioner, then colored using Copic Markers. A thin layer of quickie glue and some glitter on the hearts and these cups were perfect. They are actually stacked on two additional die cuts for a little depth. They were the original intended image for this card but when I started putting it together I knew it needed something more. And that is really how the flowers happened.

P.S. I need a new camera or better lighting or something because these colors are not photographing as they appear in person. And that makes me pretty sad.

Day 13 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Day 13 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge by the daily marker, and this is my coloring for the day.

Anyone can play along, just use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day.

This seems like a lot more work than it really was. I stamped the poppy image and colored it with Copic Markers. I trimmed out the poppy leaving a slight white border on one side and the rest of the paper on the other. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Ultrafine Gold embossing powder. Then stamped the rest of the sentiment on white and again embossed. Popped the white sentiment "beautiful" up on foam adhesive.

Day 12 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

This is day 12 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge by The Daily Marker. #thedailymarker30day

I didn't color with my traditional medium of choice, Copics, instead I used a white colored pencil. I stamped these poppies on the Kraft card stock using sugar ink then I shaded them with a white colored pencil. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Cocoa Ink.  I used the curved border die to do the stitched, curved edge and glued the cut off portion onto the card base. I popped the main panel up on 3D foam adhesive and tied some toffee twine across it in a simple knot.

I love how sometimes, a non traditional idea can turn into something extraordinary.

Day 10 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge

How motivational is this?   This is my submission for day 9 of the 30 day coloring challenge by the daily marker #thedailymarker30day.

I made this cute shaker card with the set. I colored and die cut all the images from A Muse Studio Card stock. Used some sequins and the images to make this card not only motivational but fun.

I am sending this to a friend who is a fitness coach. Even the fitness coach needs a little motivation some days.

I finished the inside using the circles from the front panels and stamped and colored this cute sentiment on the inside.

This set has so many uses from planners to cards. There are matching dies also available and I loved having them. I don't usually mind fussy cutting but that would have been a ton of fussy cutting!

Day 9 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Day 9 was about challenging myself to use color combinations I probably would never use together and also to use techniques I hadn't used in a while or hadn't ever tried. On top of participating in the 30 day coloring challenge by The Daily Marker ( #thedailymarker30day ), I also participated in three challenges on Splitcoast Stampers. PFEW! Lots of challenges and this card was challenging.

I paper pieced the dress and bow on the little girl. I masked and stamped the puppy. I die cut the oval using the out of the box technique. I did the pleated skirt fold on that green polka dot strip. I used a crazy color combination from a color challenge and I used my Copic markers to COLOR!

Day 8 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Today is day 8 of the 30 day coloring challenge by the daily marker. Remember if you are playing along, use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day in your labels or keywords.

This is my card for the day. With three kids at home, one who is 8 months old, time is something I have little of. So quick is the name of the game.

There is real simple two and three color blending done on these paper lanterns. I used the yellow in the lantern and to depict the light shining down from them.

A simple sentiment and some twinkle stickers finish this quick, simple, but send worthy card.

Day 7 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge

I made this for my baby cousin who is having a baby! She isn't that young but if I call her my baby cousin that makes me less old, right? Anyway, she will be welcoming baby Isaac into the world really soon and I wanted to make an adorable card for her. DCWV papers, a Unity stamp set, a few dies from A Muse Studio and some Copic markers. ;)

I played along with Unity Stamp Company's Layout / sketch challenge this week.

Day 6 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

I had a lot of fun making this card tonight. Just a little coloring goes a long way with this mason jar. Again, I participated in the 30 day coloring challenge by the daily marker. #thedailymarker30day

I used a few Copic Markers to create this green sheen mason jar filled with bubblegum pink hearts.

I tied a little piece of twine around the lid of the jar by piercing two small holes on either side of the jar lid.

Finished the inside with a simple die cut and some adorable bubblegum pink hearts and sweet sentiment.

Masculine Birthday Card

I don't know about you, but I am always in need of a birthday card, ever time I turn around someone needs one. And I always have a shortage of masculine cards. I was able to create a super quick and simple manly card that even the manliest of men would appreciate.

This was made with a couple strips of scraps, Kraft, Onyx and Petite Onyx Pinstripe, three Eyelets in Silver and this amazing stamp set.

Such a cool stamp set with outside and inside images. It took less than 5 minutes to put this card together, seriously!

Look at all the cool sentiments this set offers. I foresee many more cards, feminine and masculine coming out of this set.
