Inspired by Series | Lisa Mensing | Glowing Stencil background and white space within Copic coloring

In 2020 I started a series on this channel and I wanted to share who inspired me and how I use that inspiration in my craftroom.

I've featured four really wonderful artists so far in this series. I love to find inspiration in other creators. I watch YouTube videos as a second hobby, I think. I've watched lots of creators go from relatively unknown to I can't believe you aren't a subscriber known!

This month I wanted to focus on Lisa Mensing. I've been watching her since she started her channel and had the opportunity to meet her in The Collective Creators Group. She is featured on the Honey Bee Stamps Design Team and she posts videos often with tips, tricks and inspiration.

She has a way of making card making look so simple and easy. And the way she explains things make me think I can do all the things, she builds my card making courage, for sure.

Confused about why I named it all Delaney Jane Cards if my name is Renee’?

This entire thing, shop, YouTube channel, blog, etc, it is all named after our angel daughter who passed away in 2013. I made her some promises when she passed away. I would spread joy, I would make her proud and I would speak her name daily. This is one way we choose to honor her memory, and help me keep my promises. Non Smear Pastels | Favorite Old Technique or Product | Collab

Today, Amanda at Rise and Procraftinate and Courtney Kreeber and I are all collaborating. We decided to mix it up and pull out something old. Technique or item. That once was a favorite of ours. This was so fun.

I pulled out some super old Stencil Sister's Non-smear Pastels. I've had these for ... decades.
I made 7 total cards using these pastels.

 I layered the papers from the two paper pads I used. And I paper pieced the robe. Who wouldn't pick a sky with clouds robe with grass details? Not Meh! <---lol.

I had to color the eye all bloodshot because I know when I'm tired my eyes are all blood shot.
