I support design...not crime

Have you seen these images floating around in your social media circles? There is this huge initiative to purchase stamps, dies and craft supplies from the designers or companies hosting the designers.

We all know that finding a good deal is sometimes a HUGE draw. I mean, I love a good sale and a coupon combo... but have you thought about what purchasing stolen designs does to the designer? It takes away their reason to develop a product. If they are going to spend the time to create something, let's say a stamp set. Paying attention to line art, details, manufacturing, creating stamps that leave remarkable impressions when stamped and then, someone steals the idea, creates a knock off item and sells it for a fraction of the cost it cost you to create it... that steals the artists reason.

I create almost daily, if not daily, to support my own small business. I intend to support business that put in the effort because, I put in the effort.  Here are a few of the cards I've made in the past few days using products the creators are proud of.

I hope that the next time you see the thing on that app... you know, the super cheap one... you take into account if the idea is original, if they ripped someone's idea off, if they were here in the U.S. would they be infringing on patent... Just be fair.

All items were purchased with my own funds. This video / blog is not sponsored.

Confused about why I named it all Delaney Jane Cards if my name is Renee’?
This entire thing, shop, YouTube channel, blog, etc, it is all named after our angel daughter who passed away in 2013. I made her some promises when she passed away. I would spread joy, I would make her proud and I would speak her name daily. This is one way we choose to honor her memory, and help me keep my promises.
