Celebrating Pattercraft's 500 Subscribers & Using Free Coloring Pages to Make Cards

Scrapping for Less has a team member that just reached 500 subscribers on their YouTube channel...Christine Patterson... Today we are celebrating her!

The theme to the hop was celebrate. I wanted to share how you can stretch your cardmaking options and include free kids coloring pages when you make cards. This is an easy way to make a themed card like I did here for this first birthday card.

I printed out a free kids coloring page of this Disney Tv show and ran it through my Silhouette software, resized it and cut it out. I colored this with my Copic markers and finished cutting it out with my scissors.

I used an embossing folder by Darice called clouds to emboss the background. Then I used a chalk marker by Zig to scribble over them, filled the rest of the clouds in with a white pencil. Then... I used a Marvy puffy marker to make those clouds all puffy and full of texture.

I thought that offered so much texture to this scene. I mounted the main image "Pip and Freddy" over top the sky. I die cut out the candle #1 and colored it with the same Copic markers and a sentiment from Mama Elephant on a little strip banner.

I tucked two additional clouds in the inside with an additional sentiment.  I really just wanted to remind you (and myself) that those free coloring pages you are printing out by the ream for your kids at home, you can use those to make cards too!

Christine is on the Scrapping For Less Design Team and Teresa, the owner of SFL has kindly offered a $50 gift certificate to SFL to one lucky winner in the YouTube video hop.
