Scrapping For Less Guest Spot featuring YNS and Echo Park - Christmas Series 2019

Hi Everyone, this is Renee' with Delaney Jane Cards and I'm so excited to be on the Scrapping for Less blog today. I am one of two guest designers this month and I cannot wait to share some fun things with everyone.
I created an adorable snowman Christmas card using Coffee Melt by YNS and Echo Park's My Favorite Christmas 6x6 pad. You can find both in the Scrapping for Less store.

I had some trouble with my colorless blender while coloring this image and wasn't sure I could salvage it so I had to find a solution. I colored the sky and used that same troublesome 0 Copic to add swirls to the color to camouflage my error.

Sometimes a simple creative solution can keep your project from getting tossed in the trash.

I really loved the color pallet this paper pad offered. It gave me a set of colors to use on this adorable melting snowman. I even got to use my favorite Copic YG17.

Your Next Stamp has some of the cutest sets and most include fun sentiments like this one. Life is too short for bad coffee.  It makes me giggle as this snowman melts for his love of the wonderful caffeinated goodness.  I figured the mug was supposed to be a snowman but I wanted to spread the green color around a bit more and made it green... another opportunity to use YG17. I have no clue why I like that color as much as I do, but I try to incorporate it in all my green combos.

I do have a process video up on my YouTube Channel  here: Delaney Jane Cards

You can find this card featured on the Scrapping For Less Blog here: https://scrappingforless.blog/

Most items were purchased with my own funds. This video / blog is sponsored. SFL provided the YNS stamp set used in making this card.

Confused about why I named it all Delaney Jane Cards if my name is Renee’?
This entire thing, shop, YouTube channel, blog, etc, it is all named after our angel daughter who passed away in 2013. I made her some promises when she passed away. I would spread joy, I would make her proud and I would speak her name daily. This is one way we choose to honor her memory, and help me keep my promises.

Festive Trees - Christmas Series 2019

I used the stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Festive Trees. I may have stated it was a Stamptember 2018 release but I don't think it was.

I used the very graphic trees made with triangles on these cards as well as the festive Season's Greetings sentiment.

Pulling out a tried and true technique of emboss resist with watercolor, these cards turned out to be bright and cheery with a touch of gold sparkle to them. I used my Ganzi Tambi water color set and some real quick painting to create this set of 6.

The Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Turkey

Today, I had a chance to play with The Rabbit Hold Designs Caffeinated Turkey Stamp and Die.
These characters in their Caffeinated line are hilarious and I'd recommend checking them out even if you just need a chuckle.

I also used an Altenew stamp I purchased from Scrapping for Less and really loved adding it to my stamp stash because who doesn't need a coffee ring in their collection? Matte embossing powder also makes an appearance on this card and adds so much to those coffee rings.

Currently the Coffee Lover's Hop is going on, tomorrow is the last day 11/8/2019. There will be plenty of chances next time because these have been going on for a few years I guess. How cool, right? Coffee, Tea, Cocoa, Cider and cards... perfect combo for sure.

Stamperia Make A Wish Angel - Christmas Series 2019

Today's cards feature a new to me company, Stamperia. I had never even heard of them when I ordered my set. And I'm likely to do similar when ordering. I love finding hidden gems amongst the big makers.

These stamps are made in Hungary and I find that to be super cool. The way the images are drawn also was a reason I purchased this set. I'd say, expect to see it a few more times this season at least somewhere because I can't be the only one who has fallen in love with this set.

I used my Peerless watercolors and some Peerless liquid to colors today's images as well as a special guest appearance by a very special embossing powder mix we lovingly refer to as Cooper's mix, mostly gold.

I created 6 cards because I'm a firm believer in cards coming as sets and I think 6 is a good quantity on a set of cards.

I used mostly colored cardstock in these cards but did use some patterned paper from the 12 days of Christmas pad by The Paper Studio. I think that is a Hobby Lobby brand. It has been with me a while.

If you'd like to see these cards be created you can find the video here: Delaney Jane Cards

Happy Adoption Day! Mixing Stamp Companies

Today is a very special blog. This blog showcases a card that was made for a very special moment in one particular young lady's life. She is being adopted. Adopted into a very wonderful, supportive, loving family.

This young lady is a very driven, strong, fashionable, beautiful, smart young lady.

I used several stamp companies to help me create a "vision" board style card. I wanted to touch base on all the things I knew she loved.

You will see the "mash up" of companies, how to color using different undertones and how to create your own pattern within your coloring.

** I'm not claiming to be an expert. These are techniques that work for me, a self taught crafter / cardmaker.

You can watch a card process video on YouTube here: Delaney Jane Cards

Pink and Main Christmas Mugs - Christmas Series 2019

I used Pink and Main's Christmas Mugs stamp set to create a set of 6 Christmas cards featuring non-traditional colors of pink, purple and aqua with pops or red and green.

I featured their sparkle sheets and their patterned papers to create these adorable and sweet cards.

I'm also linking this to the 2019 Fall/ Winter Coffee Lovers Hop because... I mean, why not! <3

Joy To The World - Christmas Series 2019

I used the Raisin Boat stamp set titled Joy To The World to create 6 beautiful Christmas cards featuring pastel Copic coloring and patterned paper.

These cards feature dry embossing on the background panel. I wiped a gold ink pad over the embossing to highlight it in some areas. All the panels are framed in gold specialty paper and the sequin mix contains beautiful pastel colors and some tiny stars.
